Costa Rica - Sept 2015

If you ever get to go to Costa Rica, you must go to Rios Tropicales. We had the most peaceful time in Costa Rica once we got out of the city and deep into the jungle. We rafted into our eco-lodge and stayed 3 nights. We went horseback riding, ziplining, even rappelled down a 60m waterfall. It was such a life-changing experience. Our guide, Esteban, was so amazing. Not only did he take care of us on all of our excursions, he also cooked all our meals. We now lovingly refer to Huevos Rancheros as "Eggs Esteban" as a nod to him. Rafting out of the jungle was probably one of the most difficult things I've ever done. After not having TV, internet, and electricity for 3 days, the first time I heard a car on the 4th day, it just sounded so assertive and wrong. I almost jumped out of the raft to swim back up to the lodge. You know you had a great time when you try thinking through how you could move there and make a life there. I know our Shadow and Logi would love chasing after the chickens!
